This is what I gave my stylist and it’s what I’m doing, just as a loose guideline.  My hair is super fine and wouldn’t look as full as this pic and my bangs are different.  I just wanted something loose and soft and easy. She twisted both sides to create the “up” part and did loose soft curls all in the back. I loved it.

First off, excuse my bangs–this was the day before my haircut and also after I got rained on πŸ™  These pics are when my hair was really messy after the trial because I was outside, taking the veil and hair decorations in and out, so the lines are messy but when it was first done it looked great.  Plus these curls held all day/night and through my workout the next morning and my hair is so fine it usually never holds.  That’s also not my veil, just a sample, and I will have rhinestone gems throughout the twists on the sides and here and there.  Under regular circumstances (not pulling bobby pins/clips/rhinestones in and out, heavy rain) I think it will hold up great.

I had the same problem with an updo and also opted for a half up half down hair style.

@Treejewel19:  I adore your hair.  If only mine wasn’t so thin… πŸ™

I don’t have my own pictures yet (trial is tomorrow) but my inspiration:

@Luv2BeachIt: Aww thank you!  How did the trial go? Thin hair can be amazing hair with the right technique and product. You don’t have to settle for anything less than perfection.

@Treejewel19:  You’re so sweet.  The trial is tonight… I’ll upload pictures if it goes well.  πŸ˜‰

@Luv2BeachIt:  Agreed, thin hair can work out better.  A great stylist can add texture thru tecnhical to fill it out in any style you like while thick is always thick.  I can’t wait for the pictures.  I think half & half is so romantic and elegant yet casual/comfortable.  I don’t want the pictures to seem to “porclean doll” style.

@kelly101212:  GORGEOUS! I love it soooo much more than the up-do.
