As long as no one else has already made travel arrangements, and you won’t lose a ton of money on your deposit, I think it would be appropriate to cancel if planning the wedding and finding other vendors is proving to be more stress than it’s worth. Have you tried talking to the people at your venue and letting them know your difficulties? If they aren’t willing to lend a helping hand now, I hate to think of what they’ll be like during your actual wedding…

Have you checked out the Gorge Discovery Cener Museum in The Dalles?  My wife and I got married there and It’s a great venue, especially if you are having a decent size wedding.   My video production company filmed the event and I can send you a copy to see how a wedding works at that venue if you like.   Let me know if your interested and I can send you out a copy.  My email address is [email protected].
