I bought myself the 2009 pronovias rania. It just came in and took over 5 months to come in. I literally just tried it on, fell in love and bought. Now that I have it I’m just not sure I made the right choice. Is this normal? I can’t afford another dress nor have time since the wedding is in Oct09 and the dress cost $2,500 w/ alterations.

Eeps! That’s scary! I bought my dress and I don’t so much as blink an eye in the direction of another dress.

yeah, we all go thru that.

It is completely normal, even with a dress you are totally in love with. Dress envy, dress doubts it happens to us all! Just remember why you fell in love with it and why not start thinking of some wonderful accessories to wear with it? I am sure you will fall in love wiht it all over again.

I just did the same thing. Luckily I have my dress at home so I was able to put it on, which eased my mind. It’ll be ok, you will put ot on and wonder why you ever doubted yourself in the first place.

I didn’t spend nearly so much but I went through three dresses before finding the right one. The first one was a custom-made dress that turn out horrible (and no refund!). Then I was going to settle for a boho dress that didn’t fit with any of my accessories. Then I got a dress off eBay which was nice, and finally found the ONE on eBay that I am in love with. End result – I am selling three dresses on eBay!
But none of mine cost as much as yours. That’s a lot of money! I would think about it seriously. I mean you can try to sell the dress but you are not going to get what you paid for it.

First of all, the dress is gorgeous! Second, I think a lot of brides have "dress anxiety". It’s only natural because you wait so long after you order the dress for it to come in. I was so worried that I was going to hate my dress when I finally saw it and wondered if I had made the wrong choice. However, once I saw my dress on again, and the alterations began to take shape, I knew I had made the right choice.
Have you tried on your dress again since it came in?

Yes, but the color has always bothered me. It only comes in light ivory, more like a white and I always wanted a more champange color. Yes, i have tried it on once since it came in, but i left it at the bridal store for fear of damaging it from trying it on too many times.

Your dress is beautiful!! I think a lot of brides have second thoughts about their dresses. I know I did! I even went out and bought a second dress. Big mistake. I went with my original dress, and I couldn’t be happier that I did. It’s a personal decision to change dresses, and I totally understand what you are going through. Best of luck!

I love your dress! And I have totally had second thoughts about mine, but now as I’m almost to my wedding, I’m so glad I didn’t change it. It is MY dress. There will always be pretty dresses that you will drool over (like Mrs. Glitter’s!) but that is HER dress. Yours is yours for a reason. Love it. Embrace it. Rock it. 🙂

Your dress is absolutely stunning! So unique and beautiful! I wouldn’t let the color get to you. The ivory will be in style forever; whereas the champaign color will likely go somewhat out of style. I think that you definitely made the right decision the first time around and can put any doubts out of your mind! I can’t tell you how remarkable your dress really is!
I found that I only started second guessing my dress when I began to look at other girls’ dresses. I am ALWAYS a very decisive person who doesn’t second guess my decisions, but I definitely did with my wedding dress which is funny. You are totally normal and I think that it is somewhat rude for people to try to scare you by saying that you are weird for second guessing your dress or suggesting that you sell it.
You are going to look amazing in your dress and you made the right decision!
