I am getting married on 11/23.
I have a dress but it isn’t fitted. I don’t have shoes, or flowers for my centerpieces, an organist or singer or a garter but just about everything else. And I don’t care.
ad died 3 weeks ago tomorrow after months of illness and hospital visits and I honestly can’t get back into planning this supposed to be happy occasion.
Luckily my caterer also does decorating & I had already planned that being that I have -.03% of craftiness (that’s a negative people!)
I know I’m tired and emotionally drained but does anyone else have a case of the don’t wants with only 3 months to go!?
Edit to add: Writing this makes me realize I don’t have programs, or koozies, or the pictures I need for the “in memory” table that can’t just be an idea but a requirement now…

- Wedding: August 2013 - Wynn Las Vegas
I did before my wedding. I wouldn’t have had centerpieces, photobooth, decor if not for my mom and SIL helping me organize and finish planning everything.
I’m sorry to hear about your FI dad!

Have some chocolate (and some wine, as long as you’re having it, and maybe some brownies, just to round it out) Take a nice, deep breath, and let it go for a week or two. Or if you need the month, take the month!
We planned our wedding in 5.5 months, and only actually did stuff maybe two of those months, so I think you’re fine to take a nice, long break.

@MsDontRushME: Hi date twin! First, my condolences for your loss. I’m sure what you are feeling is somewhat normal. If you have someone close to you that would help, let them! I think that will be your best bet! November 23, 2013 WILL be a wonderful day!
