3 months to go today, and I got a few things off my list this week!
- Invitations ordered
- Cake baker booked
- Picking up my dress on Saturday
- Registry completed
It feels good to have that stuff done, as most were some big items. Now to wait for the invites to come in the mail and start getting our address label program set to just print and make that process easier. We are aiming to have them mailed out by the second week in August.
Next week, we plan on looking for his wedding band and a suit (including shirt, tie and pocket square color). I am also hoping to get our cake topper ordered (from a shop on Etsy), and start to work on a couple DIY items. We also need to finish the Wedding Website so I’m not scrambling to get that done right before the invites get mailed; it’s about 80% complete. It’s the little things that keep me the most busy!

Kacie209: Haha yes! My countdown says that it’s 100 days to go for me today! As of tomorrow I’ll be in double figures.
I had my first dress fitting last Saturday, and booked my hair trial for next month. I need to get my wedding band resized, alas which is one more chore I have to do that I hadn’t anticipated. Blaaah.
I contacted the person who I want to make my cake toppers through Etsy the other week as well, hurrah! I think we’re pretty well on track for now.

chronicwhimsy: 100 days… yay!
I need one of my wedding bands resized (the one that came with my e-ring), but I plan on doing that at the same time that they get soldered – which will be sometime in September to ensure I get them back in time for the wedding.
I have a hair appt. with my gal next week for a color/cut, and then will set up a time to do trials and see what I’ll go with.
Xiomej14: It’s nice to get checked off the list!

I’m 78 days out now! Eeeee! I just came home to my first batch of RSVPs – three of them! It’s Friday, and I only put the invitations in the mail on Monday!
So many exclamation points!!! But, I am so excited to have my friends and family there – it really negates all the stress I’ve been feeling since we crept under the 100 day mark. (To be honest, I’ve been stressed the entire time…)
What are my next priorities? Let’s see…
– figure out what suits the groomsmen are going to wear… thought we finished this 3 weeks ago, but our plan fell through because the suits were discontinued
– continue stamping the bags for DIY natural, organic confetti
– take a more nuanced look at the itinerary – start really trying to get everything sorted out for the whole weekend
– begin ceremony planning
– practice our father/daughter song since we aren’t dancing due to health issues

Snowmelt: date twin! I am not sending out my invites for another few weeks… I love staring at them though! I still have my macaron towers to order as well as custom matchbooks we’re doing. My dress comes next week. Eeeeeee!

theshannondee: Yay! I love our date – just looks so nice written out, and easy to remember.
I sent my invites early because almost everyone on my side needs to travel. We sent save-the-dates at the beginning of the year, but I still wanted the official invitation out early. It felt so good to drop them in the mailbox!
And, macaron towers sound amazing…

Xiomej14: Its good to see I’m not alone with BM dresses not beign ordered yet … even tho the suits are ordered :/
Well My invitations are printed so have to finsih cut them and oreder the pocket fold to put them in.
Already ahd my cake booked months ago.
we finally booked the place we’re taking pictures…
It’s a camp FI went to when he was younger so there will be train ride, horseback, playground and formal gardenish pictures around the gazbeo.
Menu was finalized months ago
Still have to get timelines completed, accessories ordered (waiting for more pictures from the lady we’re ordering from),but other then that it’s mostly payments we have to make now and even tho alot is done I still feel so left behind. I always wanted a wedding but didn’t think it would be this stressful and have thought several times to elope. As much as stuff had to change I know at the end of the day when I’m my bestfriend’s wife I’ll be happy.

102 days for us and I’m feeling the pressure! We have most things done, just looking for a bartender [we are supplying the alcohol, just need someone to mix drinks], and someone to man the DIY photo booth.

After a productive week last week, I want to continue on that route this week!
I picked up my dress Saturday, and after trying it on again (love!), I will need minimal alterations – unless I lose any weight that would drasticlly change how it fits in certain areas.
I got notification that my invites are in the mail and are expected to be here on Wednesday. So with that, we’ll start organizing them as soon as they’re in. I’d like to make that process as easy as possible.
I am planning on picking up some decoration things at Michael’s, Jo-Ann’s this week so I can start them this weekend and see if the ideas in my head actually work.
This week is almost too busy to look at wedding bands, buty I’m hoping some night will work. Suits can wat until August… but am still hoping to just browse a store this week too.
Next up: Figuring out what to do for the bouts/corsages, as my flowers (making them) are too big for them, so looking at examples of what others have done and hoping I can figure something out. I did order some fake calla lilly buds from a site last night and hope they come as I think I will and those will work. If not, they’ll get returned and I’m back at the drawing board!

- Wedding: October 2014 - Church
Kacie209: That’s awesome! I am actually starting to feel nervous because it is coming soon! Nervous in a good way … We just picked up our marriage licence, my dress has now come in AND our wedding bands have come in! We just have to try them on, choose music, pick flowers and go for our tasting …

76 days today and boy is it going fast!!!! We are basically done! The FI still hasn’t gotten his tux and groomsmen attire figured out (not surprised, he is the biggest procrastinator). My dress is being altered, our bands are in the safe, the invites are being passed out and the first RSVP came in the mail today!!!! (That hit me hard!!!!)
The only thing I need to do is buy the pillow and basket for ring boy and flower girl, and get the 530 party favors filled up with candy and stamped (ugh)
October is around the corner ladies!!!!!
