I am not sure if this has been asked before but I was reading “What to Expect Before You’re Expecting” and they were talking about extreme workouts affecting fertility.
According to my insurance I can’t see my OB/GYN for another two months without having to pay out of pocket, so I was wondering if anyone had any advice as far as Jillian Michael’s 30 Day Shred.
Do you think the 30 day shred is considered extreme exercising? Has anyone already asked their doc about this? I was hoping to use this routine to get me in shape for baby making but not if it is going to mess with my ability to conceive.

I’m out of shape and I can get myself through the workout, so I don’t know that I consider it an “extreme” workout, personally.

@Arya: If you’re used to working out at this level than it should have no effect, even after you get pregnant (unless you have risks or history that say otherwise)

I’d say if you can do it, do it – but if it feels like you’re over-exerting, or if the Stages become too much, just watch it & do what you feel comfortable with. I used to do Stage 1 & 2 several times, because Stage 3 and the planking SUCKED.
