Weddingbee boards

I feel like I've been such a downer around here in the past few months - so I came by to share some positive news!  Yesterday was my 30th birthday and my husband hit it out of the park - took me to a beautiful dinner, bought me a perfect gift, and spoiled me rotten.  It was wonderful to spend some time with him.  My party with our friends is Saturday and I can hardly wait!

A few really great things have happened recently and things with him are looking up. Overall we are in a much better place (both together and in our marriage) and I am finally beginning to feel optimistic again about our life!

I've decided that 30 is the new HAPPY!  Looking forward to a great year!

@Gerbera: Turned out fine.  My husband got involved and one of the girls who was working on it is really easy to talk to, so we had a bit of a heart to heart about my fear of this becoming a nightmare and she made sure it didn't (which I greatly appreciated!) Now I'm just excited!

@oracle: Thanks!  He got me the exact watch a wanted which is a HUGE white resin statement piece that I was in love with for months!  He couldn't find it in stores and even ordered it online - first time he has EVER shopped online!  I was so pleased with the effort and can't wait to rock the watch tomorrow at my party.  He also bought me a new digital camera, but I'm kind of an electronics nut - when I started looking at reviews on it, I felt it was overpriced for what it is.  That may go back in a few weeks for a different one, we shall see. :)

DH and friends are throwing me a wine tasting/dinner tour tomorrow in a nearby city that is famous for Washington wines.  I'm so excited, have my outfit picket out already and everything!  Best birthday ever.

As for 30's in general, something about feeling like a 'real' adult made turning 30 awesome!  We have a lot of big plans for the next few years - I'm about to go back to school for a new career (two weeks!), he is looking for other work, we are paying down our debt and trying to simply enjoy being married.  I'm feeling super optimistic - which is recent for me.  We had a ROUGH first 5 months of marriage and much of that has improved.
