Anyone care to post?
My bf hinted to me that the proposal is coming very soon which I already knew (I think he is getting nervous and for some reason told me…). Then he started blabbing on in nervousness and started to say things like, “I want to make sure you aren’t disappointed” and stuff. I told him I don’t need a big production I just want him to speak from his heart. Long story short he told me what he was really talking about was the diamond. He couldn’t afford the original stone we had picked out a while back. We looked at the 1 carat range, and I think the stone he “downgraded” to is in the .75 area.
I would appreciate if anyone could post their ring in the same carat weight!
At this point I have been waiting soooooo long for him to make me his fiance I don’t even care about the ring i just want him to propose! Is this normal? lol.

the stone was from hubby’s grandmother’s engagement ring; it’s .68 carats, to be exact 😉

I don’t think you’re going to see a significant difference in 3/4 versus 1 carat. Side by side, maybe, but once you have your ring I don’t think it’s going to look noticeably smaller to you. Here’s a size comparison chart I found:
And here’s one that compares “finger coverage”:
On a size 6, the difference between 3/4 and 1 carat is only 3%! Congratulations, I’m sure you’re going to love your ring.

Here’s mine (it’s .86 though, so a little over 3/4):

OP: Are you worried about the size on your hand (I have Super LONG fingers and a small ring would look strange on me)? If so, maybe suggest a halo style which would appear bigger. Or get a moissanite!

^ That’s mine up there lol! I forgot to leave a comment with them 🙂 The center is .8 and it has smaller diamonds set around the band. My wedding band will math the band of my e-ring!
I love it, and so many people have said they think it is a full carat (sometimes bigger) lol

I’m going to throw a wrench into the mix and say round cuts are a very special kind of stone that any size will sparkle and glimmer… so really whatever he “downsized” to, you will have a dazzler on your finger for sure 🙂
Mine’s my lovely gem.. little under a half carat and it’s light dances on walls!
