I have a little over 39 weeks to go until my wedding, and I’m totally obsessed with my weight. I am grossly overweight. I decided to try this thing that my boss is doing based on the book “Why We Get Fat and What to Do About It.” He’s had very nice success with it (30 pounds in 4 months), and he wasn’t even very heavy. I tried it for a week, but found myself consumed with thoughts of food. Something about having very few carbs, including NO FRUIT OR FRUIT JUICES, just made me crazier than I already am.
So, last week, I joined Weight Watchers. I’m hoping that a more moderate plan will help me achieve success.
Does anyone have any tips on what to do to lose weight? And, how do you stay motivated/keep your spirits up when the weight isn’t melting off? I know all of the standard eat clean, exercise ideas, but I’m looking for something more specific.
Oh yeah, and I’ve joined this lesbian weight loss group, which comes with a free gym membership. I’m taking my first spin class in 2 days.
