What kind of wedding are you having? How about something in a champagne or blush pink? Do you want to wear white?? Silver is popular too and so is a soft gold. Gold is really elegant, especially since you’re in your later 30’s.

The totally unhelpful answer is: Wear whatever you want. It doesn’t have to be white or ivory (but it can be!). It doesn’t have to be fluffy, frilly, or poofy. Maybe look at some bridesmaid dresses too – they come in about every color and style, and usually aren’t too princessy. Or, how about a vintage dress? eBay and other online sources can have some great deals on super stylish wedding clothes.

I was thinking silver or champagne but havent had any luck finding anything. Im a redhead and not sure pink would look good on me. The golds Ive found have been way too flashy. No white, I wore white the 2nd time only bc he wanted me to and had to spray tan to get it look right!!! We have set March 6th as the date.

I tried on several dresses at David’s Bridal that were in a light gold. They really helped with my really light skin tone.

Why don’t you ALSO post this in encore, where we are "encore" brides? I bet we’d have some great ideas for you there!
Btw I just turned 40 (look barely 30) and will wear whatever I damn well want for my encore wedding!!!
My favorite colors are blush pink, platinum, and a lightest of gold..Maggie Sottero has some gorgeous ones in similar colors btw.

I am wearing a champagne-colored Victorian-inspired dress that is supposed to be a replica of a Martin McCrea dress. Check out their web site – they have gorgeous dresses perfect for an encore bride, http://martinmccrea.com
Unfortunately it came out horribly, but a friend is trying to make it more wearable since i can not afford another dress. And I am getting married for the third time as well.
