My father died when I was younger, and at my wedding, I need someone to walk me down the aisle. The problem is that I have four brothers, and I am equally close to all of them! Each one of them would be hurt if I asked someone else to do it, and I would like a way to include all four of them in my wedding. Any ideas?

I would say have the oldest one walk you down. My aunt did that with my dad and her other brothers (my uncles) where grooms men.

@jelyhu: I also would pick the oldest one. Then maybe have a dance picked for all 4 of the brothers, dance with each of them.

I have 3 brothers and we already knew my dad wasnt going ot show up for my wedding. But because my mom raised me all her life I had her walk me down the aisle. My brothers ended up being my groomsmen.

Why not have each of them walk you to a certain point?
Youngest: At the entrance
2nd youngest: 1/3 of the way
2nd older: hand over to oldest brother
oldest: Hand you to the groom.
Hope you get through. ♥

I like ricangen81‘s suggestion. Mom walks you down, brothers are in the wedding party. Dancing with each of them at the reception would be a nice gesture as well.

My mother is also not in the picture, or else I’d definitely pick her. I do love the idea of dancing with each of them. 🙂 Thanks, you guys are the best!

I second your eldest brother… or walk alone and have another way to honor them
