- Wedding: January 2012
The very first thing we booked when we got engaged was our ceremony site. We wanted to get married in Carmel, Ca on an ocean bluff. We were given the opportunity to have it at the State Park as one of their trial weddings. There are so many rules that needed to be followed along with a heafy price. The location we saw was somewhat private so we were very excited.
Well we went to do a site inspection on Thursday and were told due to environmental issues the location was changed to litterally right next to the public parking lot. No privacy at all. Our guests would be 5 feet from the cars front bumpers.
I;m so sad, this is not the wedding I invisioned and planned for. Now I don’t know if I just deal with the location and lack of privacy or hunt for a new site, which might be hard since we are so clost to the wedding.
There are a few beaches we could have our wedding but I really have planned everything around this ocean bluff site, dresses, decor, Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses, Groomsmen attire, flowers, everything.
Could I make the location work? Maybe park all our cars there the morning of and leave them till after the ceremony.
Here is a picture from where me and Fiance would be standing and the parking lot.
also the lovely bike posts where people lock their bikes
Original location-can’t really tell but it;s beautiful
alternate beach location (the cove at the far end of the beach)
