4 prong? 6 prong? Double claw prong? What did you get and more importantly, why?

mrssloan2013:  Super pretty!! I never gave much thought to prongs. My ring came with a 6-prong head, so that’s what I have. But I would love to have double prongs like the ones on your ring. They are very elegant!

If you’re having a big centre stone, I think 6 prongs is safer.. If you’re having a modest size centre stone, I think 4 prongs is better.. 6 prongs setting on a modest stone would make the stone looks smaller..

6 prongs. Originally wanted 4 but I was encouraged to get 6 for stone security and now I love it!
