I LOVE l.a.m.b...not sure if any of that is considered 40's for you though
Not quite what I was looking for and a bit pricey, but they are lovely, nonetheless. :)
These are cute and are only $30!: http://www.chineselaundry.com/products2.cfm/ID/109/c/chinese-laundry-pumps/attr1/2650
Can you post the picture of the shoe that is now sold out?
That's VERY cute! :) I'll have to bookmark that.
And I found the Modcloth one: http://www.modcloth.com/store/ModCloth/Womens/Morning+Train+Heel Yay!
Wow, I love all of those! :) Do you think ivory would be okay with the green? One of my BMs vetoed it, said it'd be too much contrast, but I'm taking that with a grain of salt...

I personally think ivory shoes would look great, especially since your other accessories are ivory... I think the ivory can work with most colors. I'm really fair skinned so it's almost like a nude color on me, lol..
Here are a couple more I found.. The first pair is a bit darker, maybe it would be BM-approved :)
Okay... These are taken from a 1930s shoe design, but I think they're cute.
@Loribeth: I'm using those exact shoes (Aris Allen= my only choice for dance shoes now) and the ivory is much darker in real life, still ivory but a dark ivory and the white is a stark white. If anyone goes with that who is not dancing, or is not used to suede soles I would recomend the "bridal" version with the vegan heel.
I was going to recomend those, as they do seem dyeable. If you go the dyeable route the 30's oxfords are dyeable (if you don't mind contrast embroidery) and incredibly comfortable even after hours of dancing.
Remix Shoes, while pricy are amazing and from what I hear, last forever.
I just got these in gray and I looooove them, but I'm not sure if any of these colors will work with your dress? I think the gray would look nice though with green, especially if your wedding is in November:

I'm looking for some good 40s-style shoes that aren't too high or burlesque-looking (I love that look, but it doesn't fit with my dress). I like the look of a simple Mary Jane with buttons on the outside of the strap (I had a pic of a shoe just like this but it got discontinued and now I'm SOL on that, haha), but am open to any and all suggestions.
Also...will ivory shoes work with a green dress if my accessories are ivory as well? Meaning bouquet, fascinator, etc.
This is the stock pattern image of my dress (recolored in roughly the shade I want--a friend is making it for me), but the top will be a little different.
EDIT: FH is 5'8" and I'm 5'4", so nothing TOO tall...don't want to tower over him! ;)
