My mother, who is catering my wedding and picked the date as it’s not on Easter and appropriate before the Armenian Genocide Anniversary.
The hilarity of it is that PacifistK and I were both activist for NORML and we partake the cannabis ;-p

lol same here, our date just so happened to fall on 4.20.2013 for travelling reasons (to accomodate bridesmaids from the other side of the country) and we are very pro legalization, and we’re using green as our main color! It’s perfect, he and I are both all about legalization, although I no longer use it (doctors order of course)
He told his family before we decided on the date for sure that it would be in April. His uncle said, in front of my fiances grandmother “Don’t tell me it’s on 420!” and his Grandma chimes in “What’s 420?” to which his uncle replies “It’s the national smoking marijuanna day.” Yeah that was awkward, but didn’t change our plans once they were set 😀

@pinkgreenandyellow: lol, that is hilarious. Yeah, we are thinking of having some kind of edible or area in order for our guests to partake =)
