Hey April 24th brides....how did your holiday celebrations go? I'm thinking after all the holiday stuff I will start to print out my invitations...we bought ours at Michaels. When are you brides sending them out and where did you buy them? I still have a lot to do. Have you booked your honeymoon yet? Where are you going? Were going to Naples Florida...cant wait. I have to call the florist back, call the venue for an appointment to set up the menu, email the officiant our vows and look over the stuff he emailed me, etc. What about you ladies?
Hi D.Marie! My holidays went well but everyone was asking about the wedding planning I couldn't help but get stressed out a bit. We are making our own wedding invitations we have all of the paper that we are planning on using and have made one sample but have yet to make anymore. Our goal is to have all 150 invitations made by the middle of Feb. and mail them by the last week of Feb. When are you planning on mailing your invites? We are going to book our honeymoon in Jan. we are taking a 7 day carribean cruise leaving Puerto Rico and stopping at 5 ports of call. I still have so much to do including finding a DJ,food tasting,cake tasting,finalizing my flowers,and helping with my bridal shower to name a few things!! I am so glad I found this thread it is helping me see where I am in my planning compared to other brides of the same date.

hey AprilBride! Yeah I needed to hear from other April 24th brides too! :) I was thinking or hoping to have the invites out by then end of Jan. that sounds like an awesome honeymoon. Im glad to see that Im not the only April bride that still has a lot to do! But Ill be glad to get it done after the holidays! :) I have to finalize our flowers too...so much to do and we had a long engagement...but you really cant do alot until about 5 months before the wedding! D.Marie what was I thinking about the invites!!! I just talked to one of my bridesmaids today who just so happens to have gotten married in 2007 and she told me I should totally be sending out my invites the last week of Jan. OMG!! I need to get my butt to work on those invites if I plan on having them out by then. Then we got on the subject of my bridal shower ( which I am helping to plan) When are your invites going out for your bridal shower? Mine is March 20th so my BM was suggesting sending them out the second week of Feb. You are so right about not being able to do much until about 5 months before. After I got my church,venue,and dress there was not much to do until about now.Happy New Year to you too!!

Im not sure when they are sending out the invites for the Bridal Shower...Im not supposed to know too much. But I work on Saturdays so I had to know that I needed off! Its going to be March 13th. I just ordered my cake topper from online and our Adesso Album for the guest book! And I filled out our vows form for the officiant....Im getting my butt into gear! Next I need to get my butt back to working out! Next I need to get together with our venue for the menu and our florist to go over things.

Hello Fellow-Bees!! I am also an April 24th Bride and just wanted to say to everyone... We are officially 2 months out!! So exciting :) I realized this earlier when I was telling a friend "yeah, we are about 2 months out... " then I looked at the date and realized today is 2/24/2010! I cannot wait to go get my dress altered :) You guys we are getting so close! How is everyone else feeling? Is everyone getting insanely excited/antsy like me??
I'm off by a few years, but I love my date. It was almost exactly a year after our engagement, the very start of spring, just past Easter.... Just a really perfect time to start a marriage!
hey, we're getting married also on April 24 here in our lovely country Lebanon. We chose this date because first we love this spring month, it's so poetic, and because this is the date of our "i love u.. i love u too.." anniversary. Actually we have decided only a couple of months ago, and still didn't get anything done. Only a week ago I started to put ideas on a piece of paper. Hope i'm not too late.. Good luck to everyone..
