My daughter is turning 4 this year and I am not so sure what to get her. The items she has requested are all pretty expensive so we will only be able to get her 1 maybe 2 of those ( a bike and fresh beat band tickets). She is very girlie and loves dress up and make up but already has overwhelming amounts of that stuff. Does anybody have any recommendations on maybe education or just fun presents for her? We thought of barbies but she got those for christmas and has enough...

Is she having a party? Because the party itself could be a present for her

My daughter loved all the Melissa and Doug puzzles and magnetic dress up dolls. She still plays with a lot of thier items. You can ind them at Target, Toys R Us and Kohls. Some sets can be pricey but you can find some good sales or bargins. I know I am at a loss sometimes too, she has so many dress up clothes and Barbies and Hello Kitty stuff already. Hope it helps.

I think as parents we tend to forget that kids are easily impressed.

I would buy her books with themes that she enjoys. And then hit up the dollar store and buy a bunch of head bands, hair tyes, braceletts and put them in a girly box.

@bells:  we usually do a home party with just family I thought about having an actual party with preschool friends with this "princess" party company. She asked to do a humane society party (she just got a rescue) and instead of presents every bring stuff for the puppies (a friend did it a while back) which is amazing and teaches great values.

@Katielee:  Yes that is a good idea she loves her puzzles and has basically figured them all out!
