I’m not sure about the answers to your questions, but in my experience, Clomid didn’t make me ovulate any sooner. I usually ovulate around day 16, and both of my Clomid cycles I ovulated on day 16. I don’t know when they usually schedule an ultrasound pre-o, but sounds like there’s a chance it was just too early…

NowandLater:  I’m on my first medicated cycle (and I’m taking Femara) but I’m going for an US on CD11 (next Monday.) The nurse told me that they plan to see how big my follies are, and if needed, they would do more to get them bigger. She said that they do the US so early so there is “time to play” before having to give up on the cycle. They didn’t talk about doing anything else with you this cycle? Or are they done?

Clomid did make me ovulate sooner, but I was ovulating around CD28-35 naturally, so anything really should have sped me up.  I’m not sure how it would effect someone with a normally shorter cycle.  I did have a cycle of clomid that didnt work for me and I ovulated around CD34.  My first round of Letrozle I ovulated CD27, but the second time CD14.  It’s prety much a crap shoot how your body will react each time.

I dont think you can typically ovulate immature follicles, espeically without a trigger, but sometimes meds cause them to start slow, but really speed at the end.  My first Letrozole cycle, I went from a 9mm on Friday, to surging on Tue indicating upwards of 3-4mm growth/day.  If it was too early and the folicle was small, they really should have done a follow up.  There is activty/growth, so I’m not sure why he’d consider this cycle a bust..

According to my RE, that lining would be way too thin, She does not like to see less than 6mm.  My Letrozole cycles were about 11mm, vs 6.5-7 on Clomid.

I’m posting so I can follow. My husband and I might be doing this next month (if I don’t get pregnant this month). It’s been over a year and nothing yet.

I’m posting to see if anyone responds for ovulating from immature follicles. I had an US on CD 12 (I  usually ovulate CD 12-14) and found that my leading follicle on my right ovary was only 16 mm. I had an LH surge the previous day. I’m not taking any meds and ovulated that night/ next morning (based on O pains and BBT spike). I guess my body is good at making a decent follicles but I’m afraid it doesnt get big enough before I ovulate. I’ve been TTC for 6 months. I’m curious to know if the body always knows if the size is right before surging.
