I'm a bit nostalgic this weekend because yesterday was our original wedding date, until we decided to postpone so that he can go to Afghanistan, I can sell my place, and he can buy his first one.
We made the dreaded decision to cancel during the weekend of Christmas last year. It was very upsetting for me, more so, finalizing our decision by telling friends & family, then cancelling vendor reservations. Since then I closed on my house, we are scheduled to enter escrow on his next week, and he's been in Afghanistan for 2 months. Things are moving along and we hope to reschedule for May 7, 2012.
