BurlapnLace:  Lol… I’m so into Game of Thrones right now, my FI got me on the audio book, GREAT for all my long car drives. I’m just about done the frist book. We’re going to watch the TV series after. Every time someone says something about winter coming I laugh… and look crazy, but it’s funny.

Anywho… on to your original post. I feel the same. My wedding is in January, but I feel like there’s so much to do, and I’m doing nothing. I had a bad wedding dream last night that it was the day of my wedding and nothing was done… maybe that’s a sign? Lol. Maybe next week!

This is exactly where I’m at with my Nov. 15 wedding. I’m simultaneously feeling overwhelmed with all there is left to do, and like there’s nothing I can do right now. It’s not a feeling I enjoy. I like to do everything well in advance. Glad to hear I’m not the only one in this predicament!

Im a November 8th Bride. I have most of my planning under control, and I find I am still keeping busy.

The past few weeks I have been working on programs, table numbers, and preping my escort cards. I’m also ordering favors, finalizing my timeline, my photoshoot list, songs for the reception. I am bringing in a lot of my own stuff, so I have been prepping all of the items (removing tags, taking them out of boxes, removing tissue, etc). And I am boxing everything up so my coordinator knows whats what (ie kids table supplies in one box, cocktail decor in one box, etc). I also purchased all bridal party and parents gifts, along with the gift bags, tissue paper, and cards i need. I have also already started addressing thank you notes for guests who I know are coming, so it will be one less thing ot do later.

Next week I will be making all of my final payments, it will be early – but it’s one less thing to do. All thats left is getting my marriage license and fianlizing details and headcounts with my venders.

My goal is to only have to work on the seating chart and finishing the escort cards in October. I have a busy month with work and some non profit projects, so I am trying to stay ahead of the game.

BurlapnLace:  date twin. Lol. I feel the same way. Like shouldn’t I be doing something at all times. I know I need to wrap up some stuff but I think I’m doing good. On the flip side im also like crap it’s here time to panic. Haha. I have to print out a bunch of things and finish up my bouquet. I have a dress fitting Tomo but I feel like there is more! Lol.

BurlapnLace:  OMG YES!! 11/15 – 7 weeks here! I feel like I’m going crazy mentally right now. I feel like I’m forgetting stuff. The next 5 Saturdays are booked up with appointments. Waiting for RSVPs to come in, doing the place cards as I get them, have a preliminary seating chart going and will just have the seating assignment chart to do at the end.

The parents gifts haven’t arrived yet. Waiting for my dress alterations to be finished. Everyone is calling asking questions like crazy. I have 2 gifts that already were sent to us and I don’t have my thank you cards yet for pre wedding gifts. I need to get some to send those thank yous out ASAP.

It’s just all the little things that are adding up, yet I can’t really do ANYthing right at the moment (except the thank you cards).

I’m sooooo ready for it to be here already!!! Anxious and excited though.

p.s. – LOVE Game of Thrones, too!

  • Wedding: October 2014

BurlapnLace:  Totally normal!  Mine is October 11th and the day of my 1 month mark, I suddenly felt a sense of calm when most brides I feel are really starting to freak out.  I was like you – most of the big things have been done, and I was just waiting on RSVPs and had a smal list of little details to finish.

Now I’m almost 2 weeks out, and it’s really starting to hit me that the day is quickly approaching! Now that we have our numbers and I’ve been able to cross off more things off our checklist, I’m still calm, but feeling more anxious and excited at the same time.

I’m 7 weeks away as of Saturday (SQUEE!). I’m doing some final meetings with my vendors, and making final payments. Doing a list for the photographer based on our discussions last night and working on a shower list for muy MOH (shower is a month from tomorrow). Getting the gifts together for the bridal party which is pretty much done. Seating plan will wait until I’m closer although I have a rough one done. Have to get on programs.
