6000 feet elevation wedding dilemma

My FI and I love mountains and outdoors. And...

Our wedding and reception will take place at a Lookout Tower area 6000 feet up with 360 degree views of about 11 mountains... It has a fairly large flat top around the tower, so there is more than enough room to set things up. But...

I have tons of things I am confused about.

The "venue" will look like this:

...Not very practical for a bride to get ready.

The only facility there is a 50 foot tower (the fire lookout), and nothing else. The stairs are steep, and my wedding dress looks kind of like this:

I love the dress and really want to wear it, but not sure how I will be getting dressed there....Would it look weird to have a dress like that there? I could wear a simpler one, may be, but then I might regret I didn't get to wear what I wanted...

Also, do we decorate it or leave it natural? And how do you decorate something like that? The wedding is at the end of June, so the snow will be gone, and it should be nice up there (weather), but you never know...

Also, what flowers would match this dress?

Thank you so much for your input!!!

is there an elevator? do you have elderly guests? how will they get up all of those steep stairs?

Do you have precautions for people who get altitude sickness? I honeymooned in Colorado, and while it was beautiful, I spent the entire time dizzy, sick to my stomach, and not sleeping because of the altitude.

I think that location is pretty impractical. As PP mentioned how are you expecting elderly people to get up those stairs? You can have beautiful mountain ceremonies with a gorgeous view without having to be up in a tower.

IMO that tower takes away from the beauty of the mountains as its a large man-made structure.

They wouldn't have to go up in the tower, the ceremony would all below... Besides, it would be only 20 people or so...

We searched high and low for inexpensive venues with mountain views, but so far - nothing...

Okay, I misunderstood. Well where is your reception being held? Do you have a hotel room? Can't you get ready at a hotel room, house, etc and then drive to the location.

If you have your heart set on the mountain, what about renting a small tent to get dressed in?

I didn't know they could be rented. Thanks for that idea.

    @Atalanta:

:)) We are ordering food and taking it with us. It's going to be a very small wedding.
