Bridal Shower Foods?

posted 1 month ago in Beehive

Hello bees!

My gracious cousins just offered to let my MOH (sister) host my bridal shower at their home (we're having the shower near where I live and they are the only local family, thus saving literally hundreds of dollars in rental costs).  The shower will be on a Sunday from 11am-2pm and the theme is "pretty in pink." All that means is that there will be pink alcoholic drinks (spiked pink lemonade and such) and pink plates and the guests will wear pink, and maybe some pink desserts, but nothing ridiculous.  My question is, what sort of food would you serve? What food was served at your bridal shower? I'm not looking to spend a TON of money, but I'm definitely looking for ideas.  Since it's around a "brunch" time on a Sunday, what do you think would be appreciated? I want it to be classy but not stuffy, and definitely delicious!!

I'm trying to think of pink foods and Tuna tartar and strawberry shortcake is about as close as I got.  I did a search on Google and here is a 60 Recipes in Pretty in Pink foods!  However, they are mostly desserts.

For brunch....how about waffles with strawberries/strawberry ice cream on top?  Don't like strawberries...marischino cherries will work too.  Shrimp cocktail is a great finger good as well.
