I want to have a part of the ceremony used to give flowers to both sets of parents as way to appreciate them for everything they've done. Is this usually done toward the end of the ceremony? Would this be before or after the pronouncement (so there would be no need to go back and forth)... what's the best way to do it so it flows smoothly....
We're doing the same thing and our officiant says we'll do ours after the vows and before the pronouncement. I have seen it early in the ceremony several times, however, after the welcome and consent. I especially liked it when they thanked everyone for traveling to the wedding, and then gave a "special thanks" to the parents right after.
My best friend and her husband had their "Peace Lily" portion of the ceremony after the vows but before the pronouncement. In this moment, the gesture of thanks for your parents and gratitude for your (almost) spouse's parents makes for good timing because it's right before you are officially deemed husband and wife and start your new life together.
we did this at our ceremony and gave the flowers after the vows just as everyone above suggested. We didn't tell our families that we were going to do that, so it ended up being a nice surprise. Also, if you want to honour someone who has passed away (we had an empty chair in the front row to represent my aunt who passed away last year), and placed a flower there as well during that time.
Just a quick question....

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!
