Hey!! So my fiance and I are trying to figure out our honeymoon and we both found a great deal on Groupon that makes the trip seem more feasible monetarily. But I was wondering is a 8 or 9 day trip (not including travel time) enough for Thailand. We are considering 5 nights on a southern beach and 3 nights in Bangkok. Thoughts?

If you cant get anymore time off and really want to do Thailand, I'd go for it.  Personally though, I would not travel that far for only 8 or 9 days.  Also, while the beaches in Thailand are really pretty, if you are going to spend most of the time there at a resort/beach, I wouldnt bother going all the way there either... carribean beach is a beach all the same imo.

It's probably fine.  My husband and I spent 2 weeks in Thailand.  Went to Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Koh Sumui.  If the beach and Bangkok is all you want to do than it's a perfectly reasonable time.  We spent 3 days in bangkok and 3 at the beach and it was enough for us since there wasn't that much to do at the beach.

So we decided to go! I am super excited!!! We will spend 5 nights at the beach resort and 2-3 nights in Bangkok. These are the reasons I felt like even though it was a short time we should just go:

    1. I have travelled all over North America, been to parts of Europe, been all over Africa and done a few stints in the Carribbean. I really wanted to go somewhere new and I thought Asia would be perfect especially since my fiance LOVES Asian food. He hasn't been overseas ever and I wanted us to experience something new for both of us.

    2. I have a 4 year old and we plan to TTC right after the wedding. A trip so far away will be difficult until our kids get a little older so I wanted to do it now while we could. We can easily go to the carribbean with the kids.

    Thanks for your advice!
