So I went to start looking for places to setup my appt for my wedding Sunday for hair and makeup to realize all the salon places by me are closed on Sundays, the only one that IS open on Sunday doesn’t do make up. So now I have no idea what I am going to do. I want my hair down and curled but how exactly, IDK. I wanted to use a flower and skip veil/tiara. I also want my makeup to stand out compared to the basics I normally wear, it is an eveining wedding and I want it to be noticeable in photographs, but I need some easy ideas or tutorials so I don’t get overwhelmed and have a nervous breakdown the day of, ME + HAIR do not get along, never have. It’s either down and brushed or thrown up in a messy bun. lol. :/ I’m sure my mom will help with the hair portion, but I need Ideas. We are doing a vintage theme and my dress is grey/silver lace. Other wedding colors are white. aqua and navy blue, but I’d like to stay away from the blue eyeshadow look. lol. Light pastels can be incorporated and will be fine I think. Anything will help! Thanks!

ahough2: hi, I’m a professional MUA and I put a Bee DYI tip sheet together for brides here:
it sounds like a classic, pretty with a touch of glam on the eyes would suit your wedding! That’s very doable. If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask. Most of all, breathe! You’re going to be beautiful:-)

I would search bridal makeup & hair tutorials on youtube that fit your vision of the look you are going for then practice, practice, practice.

I watched kandee Johnson makeup tutorials on YouTube to get my DIY makeup eyes. You can find her on YouTube or you can google her. I like it because in person my eye looks beautiful and not dark and overdone and it shows in pictures well. Sorry for the crappy resolution picture! I’m not good at doing makeup usually but I found that makeup goes on so much better when you use good brushes! The blending techniques are simple with a good blending brush.
