FutureMrsJefferson:

Oh my gosh I can’t believe we are already 8 months out. The time is passing by too quickly — our weddings will be here before we know it!

* Booked venue (includes catering, cake, desserts, open bar, etc, etc.)

* Booked church

* Booked officient

* Booked wedding band (music)

* Booked photographer

* Booked florist

* Booked guest transportation

* Booked wedding party limo

* Booked our classic car

* Booked valet

* Booked make up artist

* Booked hairstylist

* Save the dates ordered and sent

* Bridesmaid dresses chosen

* Wedding website done

* Hotel blocks set up (and some already booked!)

* Registries finished

* Booked hotel rooms for the night before and the night of

* Booked uplighting and pinspotting for the venue

* Wedding dress, veil, and belt purchased

* Purchased groom’s wedding band

* Chosen readers for the ceremony

Even though we’ve done so much it still feels like we have SO much to do. So many meetings with vendors to set up plus pre marital meetings at the church plus dress fittings!

I still have to get shoes and accessories, the guys all have to get tuxes and shoes, I have to order invittions, design our escort cards, put together bathroom baskets and welcome bags, deal with the seating charts after the RSVPs come back….Oh, and we still have to set up our honeymooon LOL! (Whoops!) I’ve started buying the BMs their gifts but I know my FI hasn’t even thought about it yet with his groomsmen.

Hitting the 8 month mark feel so good!! Especially since I’ve already been engaged for 8 months. Here’s my list:

Bought my dress and some accessories 🙂

Booked the church

Booked the recepetion space, which includes catering

Booked photographer

Invitations are printed and ready

Bought my wedding band (I still need to get his)

Decided on where my groom and his groomsmen will be renting their suits

Made our wedding website and started registering for gifts

Lots of reception things are bought too, like: containers for candy bar, candy bags, straws, our initials for sweetheart table, big “J” initial for guests to sign, toasting flutes, cake topper, reception flats/shoes.

Soon we will have our engagement photoshoot, and once that is done, we will send out Save the Dates! So excited!

We were pretty proactive in the beginning and checked a bunch of stuff off right away… but then we got really busy with summer and now we’re behind.

We have:

-My dress (though it has quite a bit of alterations to be done. Veil, headpiece, done.

-venue (same for both ceremony/reception)

– table decor- need to do a mach setup though to test it and see if we need anything else/different

-chair decoration (tying lace on back instead of traditional “covers”

-plan for the dessert buffet (We aren’t doing a cake)

– photographer booked, some engagement pics done.

– pretty close to being done with the guest list

– wedding party selected but not officially asked

-my wedding band

-my bouquet is done

We really need to get down to booking caterer, officiant (just from the courthouse so shouldn’t be a big deal), dj, transportation, lodging, groom/groomsmen attire (bridesmaids are choosing their own mismatched dresses), bridesmaid bouquets, and find a ring for DF

I think I’m a bit more laid back about things which is why stuff got done quickly, plus I’m out of state so I couldn’t interview anybody really and kind of just booked people on a whim after looking at websites/some reviews.

What is done:

  • Dress ordered and already came in
  • Veil ordered, hair piece ordered
  • Tent deposit paid(Reception in backyard so this is same as reception venue booked)
  • Church found, pastor met, still need to pay deposit
  • Caterer booked, tasting done, menu picked
  • Save the dates sent out
  • Bridal party asked
  • Booked photographer
  • Booked DJ

Left to do:

  • Pick bridesmaid dresses
  • Have any sort of start on DIY decor (I’m seriously behind on this)
  • Purchase decor for reception
  • Florist
  • Book hotel block
  • Buy shoes/undergarments for dress
  • Book honeymoon (not planning on doing this until a couple months beforehand)
  • All the mini details of the ceremony like readings, etc.

Basically I have the big stuff done and now it’s time to worry about the little details.
