Average LA/OC photog price?

posted 3 months ago in Beehive

Just wondering how much people are spending in the OC/LA area on their photographers - there seems to be such a range of prices, but also a range of talent/experience. Then there are those who seem like they are just starting out, with pretty good prices, but also pretty good images - and I just worry if the lack of experience in shooting weddings is going to make a difference. My Fi and I are not models and need people to kinda' put us into good poses that look natural (i.e. Mrs. Daffodil's latest post). :) Will someone with less experience know how to do this? But even those with lower beginnig prices get to be so pricey when you add e-sessions, albums, prints, etc. How much is too much?

I would love to hear your thoughts and average package prices! thanks!

I am spending almost $10K after taxes and travel fees (included e-session).   It really depends on the level of experience and type of work they do and what you want.

my photographer was able to work with me, cut out things I didn't want, substitue with things I did.

here is their website

Definitely ask for more info, they have a detailed price list upon request.

It all depends how much of a priority wedding photography is. My base package is $6000 (all day coverage, two photographers, 10x10 premium leather album, disc of high-res images, e-shoot).

There are photographers for 30K that are well worth the money and there are people who will shoot a few hundred images, burn them to disc right there, and charge you $300. It all depends where photography lines up as a priority:)

we're spending 9K but importing ours from SF, so he's really 8500.00, but after hotel, airfare, and car rental he's 9K
