Weddingbee boards

I'm another Dutchess County bride! I grew up in Wappingers Falls but
will be moving down to Ossining in Westchester, which is where my
fiance lives. We are getting married 8/9/09 at Anthony's Pier 9 in New
Windsor. Our photographer is Mark at Elegant Images, also in New
Windsor. The DJ is Jimmy Dee, which is in White Plains but Mark has two
friends that work there so we're getting a great price.

Now we just have to hope all the other details fall into place as nicely as everything has so far! 

If you do decide to contact Jimmy Dee, message me privately - you may get a discount if you mention my name, I'm not sure. We saw Alex, our MC, at a bridal show at the Villa Borghese. He was announcing the bridal fashion show and did a great job. Even though we were planning on signing the contract anyway because we could get them at a big discount, I felt a lot more comfortable signing after seeing him live like that. I've now met him a couple times and would definitely recommend that you ask for him if you're going to make an appointment there.

I've now chosen a dress, at Lady Gray Bridal in Beacon, which I cannot recommend highly enough. Will be checking there for BM dresses too. If you've seen Miss Shortcake's posts, that's the dress I picked. Except without hoop skirt and sweater.

It's good to know there are a few more Hudson Valley brides on here!  I'm from California and trying to plan a wedding for 6/13/08 in West Point, NY.  I could use all the help I can get!!!  I'll have to check out your DJs pricing.  That's our next thing to book :)

I live in the hudson valley but am getting married in the poconos!  :-)  I was just at a wedding at Anthony's Pier 9 Friday night....
