- Wedding: September 2013
I know it’s a little late, but I wanted to post a recap of the wedding!
I don’t have any pro pictures yet because the photographer is a little behind from all her clients, but it’s okay! I’m in no rush because I’m super busy with my final year of schooling.
The day went great! I didn’t take an extraordinary amount of posed pictures, because quite frankly, I hate taking pictures. So there’ll be a ton of candid photos of the night.
The little hiccups:
I broke my sand picture shadowbox. Luckily there are two panes of glass and I only broke one, so it still held. We had to find a funnel though, otherwise the sand would go everywhere if we weren’t precise about where we were pouring (the purpose of the other piece of glass I broke!). Luckily we found a wine funnel, which worked perfectly and it actually made the sand look a lot better.
The caterers had a hard time finding enough space for the food, but luckily with some rearranging, it worked out. Plus we had to find another table and tablecloth for the cake table because the one we had was too small.
My mother was a basket case. I love her to death, but I was way more calm than her.
The best man speech was 20 minutes and it was a giant ramble. But I honestly loved it, because it will always be so memorable!
The best parts:
Well, obviously I’m married. That’s the important part. None of the hiccups mean anything now.
My husband cried when I walked down the isle. He was ADAMANT that he was not to see me before the ceremony, let alone the dress, even since I had bought it. Seeing his face just made me lose it.
My bridesmaids were the best. Seriously.
Finally, the highlight of everyone’s night was the father daughter dance. We did a minute of a serious dance to “Daddy’s Little Girl” by Michael Buble, but then busted out into “The Twist”, “YMCA”, “Cha Cha Slide”, “The Chicken Dance”, and “The Appache Dance”. My dad and I are goofballs together, and it fit us so much better. It was absolutely hilarious!
Plus, I spent a week on a beautiful cruise in the Caribbean. Can’t complain about that! (Even if I drink a bit too much rum punch one day )
Here’s some guest pictures:
