Hehe, I have been stalking accuweather.com for about 6 days now (they have a 15-day forcast) and we're not even having an outdoor ceremony! FI and I are frantically trying to clean our house and finish wrapping gifts, writing cards for the wedding party, finish the OOT bags, and just chill a little bit
We're pretty much done. A lot of organizing, and timeline prep this weekend, but hoping to be totally finished tomorrow. As for the forecast...eeeekk chance of showers :( Everything is indoors, but we really want some nice early fall outdoor pictures. We shall keep our fingers crossed and hope the rain holds off.
I seem to just spend my time making lists and freaking out about finances. We're both freelancers and my hopes to get a full-time gig have not been realized. ANYWAY . . . I'm transitioning from wedding planning to frantic cleaning and packing. I'm moving as soon as we get back from the honeymoon. I really can't believe that it's just around the corner.
With the help of my matrons of honor I am pretty caught up. I am having a kids table after dinner so I have to get the coloring books and crayons for that. We still need to pack and I have to touch base with the vendors one last time. I'm freaking out about our honeymoon because it's in Mexico and there are about 3 hurricanes out there right now. :( My FI said we can postpone the honeymoon but I need a vacation now. I dont think I could wait another month.
I hope all you girls enjoy your last week of wedding planning and everything goes smoothly for you. I special thought to those with outdoor weddings, I am also having an outdoor ceremony and I'm hoping for good weather.
I am filled with so much joy, that I can hardly contain it!
I am praying for all of up September 24/25/26 brides, that our week will be filled with love and joy and little-to-no stress!
i think we're pretty organized, but all of this last minute stuff has unfortuntely gotten me a little stressed. drinking a huge cup of coffee this morning didn't help either. i feel so jittery! also, i'm not doing much work today - oops :)
but yay!! THIS WEEKEND!
Anyone else getting random feelings of nausea and overwhelming anxiety?? I just want it to be here already!! Also stalking weather.com like it's my job :)
So annoyed right now... here we are 5 days out and I'm finding out that people are now booking rooms hoping to be added to the block, and expecting that they'll be on the shuttles FI and I are providing to/from the wedding... except we ordered the shuttles A MONTH AGO based on the head count that we got by the RSVP deadline. So when I asked the late additions to take the 2:30 shuttle (the early shuttle), I was informed that taking the early shuttle would ruin their plans to drink in the hotel room before the wedding. But the 2:30 shuttle needs to be full in order for the 3:30 shuttles to have room for everyone. GRRR.
@7SEVENJ9: tell them to DEAL and get drinks at the wedding. I am not putting up with anyone's nonsense this week, really. I am too excited for this crapola.
Hillsy - weather in NYC looking good!
@joannet123: I KNOW! Let's hope it stays that way!!
Hope you have gorgeous weather too!
@hilsy85: I wish I could "LIKE!" your comment. Weather.com and wild swings of excitment/anxiety explain it completely. My ice cream dinner helped immensely. It'll all be beautiful and fun!
I'm excited... and can't believe it's really here... as in, this weekend!!
We have a few random odds and ends to finish up, but nothing major. I'm off work Thursday and Friday so I can pack things up and try to relax a bit.
Seeing all the out of towners from all over the country in one place is going to be a trip!
Ha! I am also feeling a mix of wildly excited and like I'm about to completely lose my shit. I had to just sit on the couch and take a breather for a few minutes today.
YAY YAY YAY!!! Reading all of your comments is making me even more excited
I have also had so many feelings of overwhelming joy today. I know it sounds silly but I read about 5 people's Facebook statuses that included comments about our wedding and it made me feel so loved!
I had wine for dinner mostly, with some snacks. I might have ice cream tomorrow night. thanks for the tip ladies!
FH is driving me insane and our families are still being crazytown.
However, wedding is this weekend! days! **breath, laugh, sigh, chill, visualize the fun and me in my dress** same goes for all you too!
@hilsy85: I just started feeling it this morning. The joy I felt on Monday has been filled with this weird nauseated, headache-type thing. Ugh.
After the last couple weeks of things falling apart everyone is being amazing and congratulating me on not being a bridezilla. 2 weeks ago only my MOH could come to my bachelorette party :( then she tells me the girl who was going to make all our cupcakes and cake topper (as a gift no less) can't do it. Ok, all the girls will get together and have a baking party. All the cupcakes are now in my freezer waiting to be iced and I'm hoping the burn on my arm will heal a little more in the next couple days so it won't be so visible. The RSVP deadline came and went and we have 10 out of about 200 that actually RSVP'd so we have NO idea how much food to get, thankfully my future MIL is taking care of that. Now yesterday the guy who was going to play Tesla's Love Song intro on the acoustic guitar for me to walk down the isle to calls and says, "Oh by the way, I have to work and can't be there in time." AAAARRRRGGGGHHHHH! I want to kill him! He has known for over a week and couldn't be bothered to tell us? Now we are scrambling to see what other rabbit we can pull out of the hat. Just hoping at this point my dresses get done, one at the bridal store for pressing and the other in for MAJOR alterations. I can't waikt for this to be over so I can go on my honeymoon.
I had someone ask if they could bring a boyfriend last Wed, which was 9 days before the wedding. Completely ridiculous!
Seeing family that have come into town the last few days has made this so real and exciting! Good luck everyone :)
@Aleanan: Haha yup, I'm still having the nauseaus/excited swings too. But tomorrow I have nothing to do but get a mani/pedi and check into the hotel so hopefully the nerves will go away and I'll just wake up on Friday super excited, as I'm sure you will too (except Saturday for you :) )!
i'm getting more nervous and more excited as each hour passes. i have less than 2 hours of work left (although i'm on weddingbee instead....) and then i'm freeeeee!! i have run into a few snags this week but i'm trying not to let it get to me. like one of my friends telling me TODAY that her and her boyfriend can't come. or our venue telling us that we HAVE to mark on the escort cards the meal choices of each person - yeah didn't do that. deal with it. anyway, at least the weather looks great for this weekend! how's everyone else doing?
It's my first day off work before the wedding, and I've felt really anxious today. Not about any one thing - just that the wedding is here and it's happening in like 48 hours. I really hope I snap out of it soon. This is really unusual for me, I've been a cool cucumber for the last 18 months of being engaged. Hopefully it will dissipate once we get on the road tomorrow. I think the waiting around is stressing me out.
TOMORROWWWWWWWWWWWW~!
One more meeting and I'm out of work at noon, ready to tackle my monster to-do list:
I have to pick up cat litter/cat food so that BM can take care of the kitties, then I have to make sure we leave a key for her, then pick up fruit platters for the rooms while people get ready tomorrow, then pack the car, remembering to bring my dress, accessories, shoes, FI's tux, the trellises for the ceremony, the umbrellas, the OOT baskets, the photo board, the kids bags, the box of stuff for the venue, the marriage license, the rings, our passports and our giant suitcases! I need to close a pampered chef show, return a dress to Burlington Coat Factory, return two t-shirts to Hollister, pick up a headband for my niece, call and update the reservation for tonight's dinner to include 3 more people, then get down to Nahant for 2:30! Then we head to the hotel! YIKES! So much to do!
Ladies! I hope your weddings were just as amazing as mine! We were so blessed with weather, good food and great friends.
Cant wait to hear stories of your beautiful days!

Hi fellow date twins - One more week to go! How is everyone doing? We are pretty much done, just some running around to do and need finish OOT bags and letter. Right now I feel like we are spending most of our energy trying to manage our families stress and annoying questions. I am also stalking the weather channel. How do your forecasts look? We are having an outdoor ceremony and so far, so good - 70 and sunnny.
