My suggestion - go through the whole day, make a list of everything you need, and schedule it all on a calendar. It will look insane but if you only focus on one or two things a day it's much less overwhelming.
I cannot believe it is just over a month away! So exciting, and yet so terrifying!
I am a 9/10/11 bride, but I just wanted you to know I feel the same way you do! I have been so busy with other things that I haven't gotten as far along as I was hoping by this point. I don't think not finishing is an option for me though, because when I picture my wedding day I can't imagine the reception room without these things so I will just have to work as hard as I can in the next 5 weeks to get them done. Good luck, we can do this!
I'm not nervous I won't finish it - but I am stressed with everything I need to get done. When I get motivated, I just keep going, and will sit up half the night doing it just to complete it.
If your organized, make a chart of what all needs to be done, and pick a day to do it on. Maybe bribe some friends to come over (pizza and beer?) and have them help. I've had a few girlfriends offer to help, and I've offered to feed them. I haven't taken them up on it yet, but I know I will.
My biggest issue right now is my program fans - I need holes drilled in all the paddles and the pencils, and FI has the potential for additional work on evening/weekends, so he isn't going to have a lot of time to complete it., Looks like I need to become BFFs with that drill now... at least I'm handy!
I am right there with you! Some days I am as cool as a cucumber thinking we're all set, and others I feel overwhelmed. I know it will all get done (or I just won't notice the things that won't) but it's hard to understand that right now.
My wedding is a few hours away...in Nebrasak, so with all the flooding going on I'm nervous about our families (mine from Kansas City, his from South Dakota) making it, but I just went to our venue for the last time before the wedding and the re-routes aren't too bad. That was a huge sigh of relief!
I am so lucky- I have a good friend working on the back of our table numbers; we're doing DIY postcards of places we've been together, and on the back a little description about what we did there. I was drawing a blank and I have a friend who is a great (and funny) writer, so he's helping with that. Other friends helped address our invites, and write names on our escort envelopes. Delegating work to people who are happy to help has been a major help with this!
We're almost there, Sept 4 bees!
I think I'm giving in and just using the venues table numbers. Honestly - do I really need another project?!
You know - I feel great, as I got to try my dress on today for the first time. So now, I'm confident it will be done.. if people would just freaking RSVP.
