    Ladeez,

I've just come from my local dollar store where I made off with over 20 pairs of nice, dance-foot relieving flip flops - the kind with the bamboo-y bottoms - for $1 each! I'm so excited to put them next to the dance floor at my wedding for the poor tootsies of my heel-wearing friends.

Its the perfect time of year for this, so check your local dollar store for great wedding bargains!

I've seen a few brides do this -- when is your wedding.  Mine is in August and I'm considering the idea. I'd like to hear from some brides that have done to see how it went. what people thought, and most importantly -- did people use them!

The first wedding that I attended that had the slippers, all the ladies used them. At my reception, I had 50 pairs in a basket (approx 120 ladies attending) and there was a mad dash to get them.  However, I didn't see anyone wearing them (granted i was busy...).

Do you think slippers are better than flip flops?

My wedding is May 24, 09.  I have roughly 100 guests and only bought 20 pairs just to get me started.  I know when I'm dancing at weddings, inevitably my shoes come off halfway through - this way no one has to dance barefoot!

Buying Flip Flops were my very first purchase after I got engaged in August. I know that my friends are big dancers so this will be a welcome relief for their feet. I bought my flip flops for $1.50 each at Old Navy after Summer of 07 in my wedding colors which was nice! Plus as a guest it's always nice to have a few comfort items!
