I ordered 6 month subscriptions for my bridesmaids, I’m still waiting for their first box to come in (I scheduled it to come in beginning of January to me so I can hand it to them at the rehearsal dinner)

i discontinued mine b/c i felt like they got much worse than when they first started.  they often send weird things that have nothing to do with makeup (random cheap bracelets, magnets, etc) and a lot of perfume samples that i didn’t like

I’ve had birchbox for a year and will definitely be cancelling it. I’ve been disappointed with probably 10/12 boxes. Like pp mentioned, they seem to get worse and worse.

I’m not because most beauty bloggers seem to say it’s a waste. I am subscribed to ipsy(formerly MyGlam) and Glossybox. I loooooove Glossybox. I will probably cancel ipsy.

I really like mine! I get to try things I wouldn’t otherwise pick up and I’m a bit of a product junkie so I quite like trying new things. In the last month, there has been a full size mascara that I’ve loved and a trial of a dry shampoo that I ended up ordering the full size of after only using twice (even though I still have the sample, I just didn’t want to run out). Sometimes there is only one thing I really like in there, but it’s worth it for me because a) I like to try new things b) I like getting mail that’s not bills/flyers/junk c) when it is something good, I usually wouldn’t have found it another way.

I have noticed that people get different things, though. I think that’s a litte weird.

I also get an ipsy box(used to be myglam) and I love it. Like @jayebaby said for only 10 bucks a month the random sampling of items is worth it to me. Last month I got a full sized nail polish, full sized eyeliner (which is to die for), an eyebrow gloss that makes everything go in place and a bare minerals lipgloss that I reordered because I loved the color.Bare minerals is on the expensive side in my POV so the sampling made it so much easier to swallow the cost since I knew Id love it.

I had a birchbox and I loved it at first! There were a lot of thing on there that I would not have otherwise tried. However, they did start sending in random things like headphones or plastic bags…so I ended up cancelling it.

I have heard good things about Ipsy but Birchbox gets terrible ratings for their customer service…

After doing a little research, I’m all for ipsy.  Birchbox looked like a bunch of downright shit.  Glossybox was way too expensive, and ipsy was awesome.
