If it were me….I would try to go to the ER. Its probably nothing…but 3 hrs of bad cramping is a long time. Please let us know how you are doing…I will be sending positive thoughts your way!

If someone could drive you to the ER I would recommend it, 3 hours of bad cramping is a long time. It’s better to be safe than sorry. Sending you hugs and prayers!

I would try calling my doctor first if they have an emergency line/paging system, especially in bad weather.

@Izzy81:  Hang in there, relax, and drink lots of water in the meantime.

I had a lot of bad cramping in the first trimester.  It felt like really bad menstrual cramps.  I think it’s pretty common.  If it continues, you can always call your doctor back.

I’ve had a lot of pinching and cramping too (11 weeks today), but I also have ovarian cysts that I thought were causing it.  I just saw my dr on Christmas Eve and before I could ask her about it she said pain in your abdomen right now is totally normal.  Things are stretching and pulling trying to get ready for baby. She said as long as there’s not blood there’s nothing to worry about.  She gestured to where to the pain will be right now and it was right were your ovaries are.
