Im still shocked and embarrassed that it fit (kind of snug but zippable) two months ago and now it doesnt! I havent told my fiancee yet because im worried hell get mad or laugh at me. I am praying and with alot of work will lose the weight in the next four months.

@Mrs.Larson11: No worries! I have complete faith that you will fit in it by August if you exercise and eat right.

Aww! He shouldn’t get mad at you. Everyone’s bodies react differently to stress, and sometimes even if you’re not eating more you can gain weight. How much room do you need? An inch, two? You have plenty of time for alterations, and to shed a little weight if you want to. Where does it not fit?

Well. I would take a good look at your diet and eating habits and act accordingly.
Remeber too that shape wear can work wonders as can certain types of body wraps.
How much do you need to trim off? You have quite a few months. Even at only 2 lbs a month that’s still 32 lbs you can lose before then.

@Mrs.Larson11: 4 months is plenty of time! You’ll be fine.

@Mrs.Larson11: Of course, you can’t spot-reduce, but running usually takes away my midsection fat pretty quickly. Even just 30 minutes 2x per week of alternating running and walking usually helps me.
You have plenty of time to lose the extra layer :), but your dress probably needs alterations anyway (hem, etc), so if you don’t want to lose the weight, nobody but you and your seamstress actually needs to know that she’ll be letting it out a bit.

Don’t be embarrased. Sometimes sample dresses have been worn a lot and are a bit looser. How tight is it? I’m sure this happens to A LOT of brides. It will all work out in the end.

Girl! It took me 3 months but my dress fits now yay! Cardio cardio cardio! My seamstress wasn’t able to let it out enough so Ihead to drop 5 lbs. I ran 3-6 miles 4-5 days a week but I look like I did in my 20’s! You can do it!!!!

if it fit two months ago you can make it fit again!
recently on the featured bloggers posted about how she’s lost 15 lbs, and all with changes to her diet, not a ton of intense exercise.
Mainly: limited drinking alcolhol to one day a week.
Started drinking LOTS more water, to curb hunger pangs.
No late night snacking.
I’ll also add, cut out bread and pasta and you’ll lose weight right away! but you also need to raise your heart rate every day, even if it’s just moderate walking!
you can do it!, good luck

Don’t be embarassed! I got a lace up dress because of this very concern haha 🙂 My guess is that the sample dress in the same size had been stretched out so didn’t fit true to size 🙂
