I bought a white noise machine and it drowns out outside noises and snores from the dog. It kind of lulls me back to sleep.

I also have a noise machine which helps but doesn’t do the trick 100%. I am thinking about seeing my doctor..

Ugh, a few months ago I had the worst insomnia ever!! Thankfully it went away once I chilled out (I had a lot of stress at the time), but honestly, the biggest “non doctor” thing that helped me was 1) Not even touching my bed until I was ready to get in it for SLEEP (I never realized how much time I spent in my bed on the phone, reading, etc, until I made myself stay out of it) and then if I was up, just saying “okay, I’m up, my body will sleep when it needs to.” It really seemed like my insomnia was made worse by me worrying about it. Once I finally said okay, I’m going to let myself be okay with not sleeping, then I could relax a little bit! Good luck, I started a thread on this awhile ago called “Insomnia! Who else suffers?” you might try searching for it on here as a lot of bees had great advice.

I take melatonin, its a natural sleep aid that helps you get back on track.  you can find it with the vitamins at stores.

I have problems sleeping sometimes too.  I have taken melantonin before like jwinnings and liked it.

Usually I just do something in a very very quiet place when I have trouble sleeping. It can take a WHILE, but I usually get to sleep about an hour after I go to the very quiet place. And the things I usually do are doodles… hehe. It helps me!

Have you tried getting more exercise?  I find that can help sometimes, but probably not with serious cases of insomnia…
