@Raishell07:  What about trying online stores, like save on crafts to buy styrofoam balls.  I have also seen styrofoam balls at dollar stores.  I would check there and if you do not see any ask an associate.  I was just at the dollar store the other day and heard a customer asking about something that was not in stock.  The associate told him they would be able to order it for him.

Two options that I can think of that are sans styrofoam are:

1.  try using paper lanterns and hot glue gun the flowers or tissue paper onto the lanterns.  I just saw huge bins full on paper lanterns at The Christmas Tree Shops for $1 a piece.

2.  Make paper mache balls with balloons.  I’m sure you can find directions online on how to do this using newspaper and balloons.  Then you could just hot glue gun the flowers/tissue paper to the dried paper mache balls.

@Raishell07:  Do you want the to be larger than 10 iches once everything is put on it? For instance, i bought 7″ styrofoam balls from the Dollarstore and I put my coffee filters on them and they made the circumference of the pomander grow to about 12 inches.

I also used the same 7″ styroball and made a different pomander and put flowers on it instead and those grew to be 10″ wide.

Check out the dollarstore, although I kept collecting the 7″ balls over the course of a year and they were hard to come by
