I bought a stainless steel GE Profile Artica counter depth fridge when I remodeled my kitchen 3 years ago and will tell you a few pros and cons.  Pros: it looks beautiful and very custom when it’s flush with the counters!  Cons:  it is definitely smaller inside than my old fridge and sometimes certain trays don’t fit because it is not as deep.  Worst of all, I have had to replace the motherboard in the last month and yesterday the freezer part went out again.  The repairman can’t figure out why the freezer completly defrosts all the food and then suddenly kicks on again on its own.  This is very dangerous because the frozen meat and such is being frozen, then thawed, then frozen again.  I don’t know whether I got a lemon or not, but they sure don’t make refridgerators like they used to.  My last one was at least 20 years ago and is still working at my son’s house now.

Counter depth is a lot more expensive but it does look really nice.  I think because of your layout you will probably need it.

Coming around the corner into the kitchen from that door, there would be an extra 3 inches sticking out there.  Also as someone else mentioned there may not be enough space between there and your island.

I would definitely check out scratch and dents, as well as used appliance stores. We got ours for $250 and it works great

Yea, we got our appliances from HH Gregg.  We bought the floor model and that saved us some money.  We also purchased with a 24 month same as cash kind of deal.
