Glad to see this post since I’m curious too!  We know we want a Sandals resort, but can’t decide where to go so I’d like to see some location suggestions too please!

@Carolyn72:  i have never booked a sandals resort but in my experience the hotel websites are always more expensive than an online travel websites (expedia, travelocity, tripadvisor) or even travel agents themselves.

i would suggest researching online for the best price and have your travel agent match the rate.  you can save a lot of money this way.

Do your research and try both!  There are soo many websites out there now that have great deals I’d look at them and write down prices and then go to an agent – they’re free and see what deal they can get you 🙂  Also, recommend looking at Trip Advisor to see reviews of the hotel you are going to.. I’ve seen a few Sandals that didn’t seem that great and are expensive.

Good Luck!!

Hi…I am planning a Sandals wedding right now and I would say having a Sandals certified TA is the best thing going.I will recommend mine. Her name is Leslie Kepplinger…she is on facebook at Leslie’s Vacations,Honeymoons and Destination Weddings. Send me a pm if you want her email address as well. Also if you have more questions go to fans who love sandalsweddingmoons on fb and Leslie or the other moderator can answer most questions you have…Happy Planning

We booked our honeymoon on the sandals website. We did a lot of research before booking to decide on which resort. You can also talk to someone on the sandals website and tell them what you are looking for in a resort, and they will recommend one to you. We went to Grande Riviera in Ocho Rios, and loved it. It was definitely worth every penny to us.

The reviews online are kind of hit or miss. I read a ton of negative reviews about our resort before going, but did not find them to be true. I mostly like looking at the pictures on Trip Advisor lol.

We came back from our sandals honeymoon in September! It was amazing! The resort is always cheaper on the website. We booked on the website and I booked the flight separately. I’m not sure if the flight that you can book through the sandals website is the best price but the rooms definitely are. Everyone we met in Jamaica paid more and they all used travel agents.
