So, a friend of mine who does an amazing job at make-up, was set up to do mine. Now, all of a sudden her company scheduled a mandatory work day, on the wedding day. One of my best friends/bridesmaid is planning to do my hair and has agreed to do my make-up. She doesn’t have a large selection of make-up though…so i need to buy everything and then she will apply it. I am not a make-up person, so i have not a clue the first place to start. Anyone have pointers or any great ideas on wedding make-up looks. Any advice would be wonderful. Thanks ladies!

I am doing the same thing as you. I am purchasing my own makeup and then applying it with the help of my bridesmaid. I’m going for a beautiful natural look. I really like Mrs. Cowboy Boot’s look.
First step: foundation. I don’t usually wear foundation, but I wanted a nice one, so I went to Ulta, Sephora, MAC, and department store makeup counters and tried a bunch of brands. I am a fan of liquid, so that is all I looked at. Don’t be shy about asking for samples to take home with you and try. I ended up going with Elizabeth Arden Intervene. It goes on and stays on really nicely, but all skin is different so something else may work best for you.
Second step: I wanted a brozer and blush. Again, I went to the makeup counters. I got a Benefit bronzer (Hoola) and a MAC blush.
Lips: I purchased MAC Longwear Lipcolor. I would definitely recommend it. I tried on a darker color in the store, and ate, drank, and kissed in it and it was still on many hours later.
Lots of people swear by MAC. My skin just didn’t like their foundations, so I had to get another, but maybe the best way for you to get started would be to go to a MAC store or counter.
