Anyone try VBAC (vaginal birth after c-section)???
I had C-section with DS because he was breech. Actually a funny story since we knew he was breech we had C-section scheduled. My water broke just before 38 weeks–after OBGYN told me there was no way I would go into labor early. Just 4 hours after water broke, I was dilated to 4cm and contractions every 5 min. I had to be pushed before all the scheduled C-sections that day.
I am hoping to have VBAC with #2. OBGYN says its likely since I went into labor and it progressed well with #1.
Any stories welcome!!!

I know amnystik had a VBAC. She tried for a home birth VBAC but ended up being transfered to the hospital.
Here is her birth story in case she doesn’t see this thread: http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/amnystiks-birth-story-finally

My sister and law and a friend of mine both did Vbacs, and they both had trouble.
My sister in law ended up with a ripped uterus and had to have emergency surgery to save her from bleeding out. The baby was absolutely okay (well, covered in a decent amount of blood) but my sister in law almost lost her life because she lost so much blood.
My friend ended up rupturing her uterus, and it was really bad. She ended up having an emergency c-section with local, because the ERs were not available. She may not be able to have any more children ever and her baby was without oxygen for about 15 – 20 minutes. This just happened 3 weeks ago, and the baby is still in the NICU, with possible brain damage.
