I bought my dress when I was originally having my wedding at a golf club. Since then I’ve decided on a destination beach wedding in Costa Rica. I love my dress, but it has almost a 6 foot train and I’m not sure that is really the best thing to have for the beach. I don’t want to have to drag it around through the sand in 90 degree weather and I’m not sure that it will look right for a beach setting. Has anyone worn a train this long on the beach? Was it a royal pain?
Poop. I probably should have posted this in accessories. I’m new at this…

Does your dress have to have such a long train? is it possible to get a different one?

Could you partially bustle it and leave just a shorter train?

I tried. Unfortunately because it’s just a lace sheath, there isn’t anyway to bustle it 🙁
I’m probably going to be forced to cut it off

My friend bustled hers with 2 different types of bustles. The lace part was with the standard over bustle, with one-point attached in the butt area, and then the lining fabric was the kind of bustle that tucks underneath, I think it was called an under bustle. Because of the pretty-ness of the lace, I actually liked the look of it bustled better. Not sure how much fabric there is, but you could consider different bustling options–it would be a shame to have to change your dress so drastically!
