I haven't been to a wedding in years, and just can't seem to visualize the ceremony order, and at which points the music changes.  Can someone help?  I think things happen in this order:

    guests arrive and sit
    officiant walks out
Mother of bride is seated (I think I'm going to have our best man seat her.)
Mother of groom is seated (groom will seat her.)
    2 junior bridesmaids
    flower girl + ring bearer
    maid of honor
    bride + dad

    Keep these factors in mind:
    1.  We're not having ushers- it's a poolside wedding with approx 80 guests
    2.  The "aisle" isn't long- it's only like 40feet.. so it's not going to take long to walk down it.

I want the music to cue guests that the ceremony is beginning, but I also want to diferentiate when the bride is on her wayA bit confused about ceremony music and order... : wedding ceremony music Icon Wink, you know what I mean?  I am just connfused on how to do this with a small bridal party, and a short aisle, while still trying to keep it special.

    Ideas?

It really depends on what you want. I know that at a recent wedding with a small bridal party, they had soft music playing as we all sat down. Then, the music changed just for the bridal party (and seating the family). They let it play a few seconds before everyone came out though. Then there was about a 15 second gap before they cued the bride's music so we all knew.

Also, I've always seen it: Officiant appears, mothers are seated, bridesmaids, MOH, ring bearer, then flower girl (no one else walks on the flowers except the bride) then bride and father.

Again, it's personal preference. This is just coming from weddings that I've witnessed.
