- Wedding: March 2015
I haven’t had much success finding this anywhere, so maybe you ladies can help me.
My fiance and I are paying for our wedding mostly ourselves, but my parents are paying for a few things here and there (Save the dates and postage, my dress, maybe favors…). My future in-laws are not, and I’m not sure how to write an invitation that specifies “Brides parents and Bride & groom are hosting”
I know that “together with their families” is popular, but fiance was not a fan of this. I also don’t want my parents to feel like…their contribution is going unnoticed or unappreciated, that we are just lumping them in with people who are…basically just showing up the day of.
Is the solution to avoid language that indicates someone in particular is hosting all together? Or maybe someone knows a way to elegantly convey this??
We’re not having a super formal wedding, going for more of a comfortable, laid back, have-a-budweiser-and-a-whiskey vibe…so it needn’t be over the top… I’ve just got nothing.
