That is awesome, great work!  I think you deserve an awesome honeymoon for budgeting so well!

I had a budget miracle of sorts yesterday.  At work, they were handing out annual raises, and for the first time ever I got a bonus!  And the timing is awesome because we need to start making down payments with vendors.  I haven’t decided whether to use it for the catering, or the photographer, or maybe I’ll start my dress shopping earlier than expected 🙂

I would put it toward the household bills and let us just relax for the next couple of months following the wedding hoopla.

we just recently had a budget miracle as well!

FI and i were planning on paying for the wedding ourselves for the most part (aside from a deposit his mother made for us as a Christmas gift totaling around $250) and were on track to be around our planned budget but with little savings left to start our lives with.  we were okay with that as we plan on saving a ton after the wedding.

BUT THEN we just received a beautiful gift from FI’s parents around tax time- they gave us a HUGE chunk of their return ($3,000), telling us it’s to cover the remainder we owe on the caterer and honeymoon, because they want us to have at least a small savings once we are married.

i am overwhelmed by their generosity!
