I don't think that cake looks like it would need a topper at all, no matter in what colors. Maybe you can put the design thats on the side of the tiers on the whole top tier like where the topper would go? Just a suggestion, but again i think it would look fine
I don't plan on having a cake topper. I don't plan on having a cake! Honestly, you can do whatever you like. So many couples don't even think about making the wedding their own, they just go with whatever's traditional, so I think it's great that you're thinking about stuff like that!
Cake toppers aren't necessary! A lot of brides don't use them.. they use flowers or nothing at all! Your cake has enough decoration on it :) (Btw, its a gorgeous design!)
It's a beautiful cake - and as long as you tell the bakery that you won't have a topper, I'm sure that they'll make it look great without one.
Think of all the cakes you've seen in your life... only wedding cakes "need" toppers. If you don't want it, don't have it.
I think it will look great without one! It's a beautiful cake.
It looks a lot like my cake! We're having no topper, and I think you can have no topper too! ;)
It didn't even occur to me to get a cake topper for my cake! And that cake will look great just as it is. : )
I am on the fence about toppers, but it's mostly because I can't find anything I like! I think I want to incorporate flowers onto the cake, so I'll probably just have some of those on the top. I don't think they're at all necessary.
I think it would be pretty with out the topper. If you really felt like you needed something on the cake you could add flowers.
never been a fan of cake toppers myself, it will look great without one
I think it's totally fine to leave off a topper! That cake is gorgeous. No one will miss the topper.
I think its fine to have a cake without a topper. My ex husband and I had a photo of us in a very pretty but lightwieght frame on the top of our cake- and I loved so much more than any of the statue-type things.
I think your cake would still look great without a topper! The picture of the cake you posted has such nice detailing that you wouldn't need anything else. Good luck!
Definitely doesn't need a topper. That cake will be beautiful in your colors! You could even ask your florist to add some fresh flowers on the day of if you want a little something extra.
I think a topper would actually distract from that cake -- it's beautiful, and it would be really tough to find a topper that complemented the lines.

How would you guys feel if you saw a cake with no topper? And I mean this cake specifically, except the colors would be olive green with gold swirls instead of black & white. I find cake toppers really boring to think about and I can't find ones that I like anyway. I don't really love monograms, I think the bride & groom ones are kinda cheesy, plus nothing matches with the green and gold. My fiance doesn't care about cake toppers even 1% and neither do I but my mom keeps saying my cake will be hideous without a topper. (If it helps I was thinking that rounding out the edges so they are not so pointy might make it look less like it needs a topper.) Thoughts?
