Crikey!
I thought you were talking about a Brazilian Wax for the bikini area.
If you got a BrzWx for your hair , you would have only a 1" wide strip of hair back 2 front on your head!
Yikes!
The outcome is lovely but wow that seems like a lot of effort! (But then, im the lazy one who thinks just blow drying my hair is the max effor Im willing to put in.)
I'd love it if you could find some sort of before picture to compare for us. I have super curly hair, but I dont know what "2c" means.
Your hair looks great! I know what you mean about having the product left in your hair though! I never use hair products and when I do, I can only stand it for so long and then I NEED to wash it out.
I've never heard of this, any idea how it caompares to the Japanese straightening? How long will it laast? M hair is also curley but I'd never heard of 2c, what does that mean and who rated your hair?
I have done it. It is very good. But make sure the kind of treatment is Fromaldahide-free, like the Coppola Keratin. If your hair dresser has to wear a mask to apply it, then it is NOT something you want on your head.
It is supposed to eventually fade out, which is nice, because other straighteners leave you with a severe regrowth line. Your hair will be growing in curly and then reach a point where it turns poker straight. With the keratin, it grows out nicely.
What I liked about it is that I could still wear my hair wavy when I wanted to and it was soft and shiny. It didn't make it dead straight, just easier to blow out and it made the blowouts last longer.
The "2c hair" refers to a type of curl-grading system that describes how curly your hair is. You can see the different types here: http://www.naturallycurly.com/hair-types
Type 1 is straight hair
Type 2 is wavy hair, with subtypes 2A, 2B, and 2C for different levels of wavy-ness
Type 3 is curly hair, with subtypes 3A, 3B, and 3C to describe different levels of curlyness.
Type 4 is kinky hair, with subtypes 4A and 4B for different levels of curlyness.
I'm blessed with stick straight hair, even when I let it air dry, but my mom gets this done and loves it!
Thanks, Chelsea, for clearing it up. I forgot to post a link to the website explaining curl types!
Two weeks in and I am still loving it. Next time I get it done I am going to DIY and was thinking of buying the Coppola brand. Not sure where I can get it from except for ebay though! Plus shipping to the UK will be+++.
looks great!! it takes blow drying and 20+ minutes of straitening to make mine look like that :)
I have tried BKT with mixed results. I liked it a first but it didn't last very long and it made my hair look greasy. I have unruly frizzy spiral curls and my favorite hair treatment is the Maintamer (www.maintamer.com).
This is supposed to be a really great treatment, and your hair looks great! However, as someone else noted, this has formaldehyde in it, which is a carcinogen! So be careful girls!

I know some Bees have discussed having the Brazilian blowdry, sometimes called the Brazilian Keratin Treatment (BKT) as a straightening treatment. I have curly/ wavey hair that I battle with blowdriers and straightening irons to get straight. I decided to have the BKT done as it is a smoothing treatment. I am trying to grow my hair out for the wedding and wanted to stop heat stlying. I also wanted to save on time doing my hair.
I had the BKT done on Tuesday evening. They wash your hair, roughly dry it, then apply the solution. They then leave it on for 20 minutes, comb out the excess and then blow dry the solution into your hair (it takes ages to get it dry). They then flat iron your hair. Thats it, you are done and left with gunky feeling in your hair. AND you can't wash for three days!! If you can cope with this trauma of having gunky filthy hair, here comes the finished result of when I washed it this morning
<span class="l0" style="display: block;">Unfortunately I don't have a before pic. My hair was 2c (if those of you are geeky and know about hair curl types) before I had it done. I washed my hair and roughly blow dried it. No straightening products (only a bit of Ciment Thermique to protect from the heat), no straightening irons, no sectioning clips or big round brushes pulling it straight. Just a couple of minutes with the hairdrier and I didn't even get it bone dry.
If I was going out somewhere I would go over it with the irons as the ends flick out and there is a slight kink in the back, however I am pretty impressed.
