    Ugh, that’s the worst kind of waiting!  I was in the same boat last week, waiting for a job I was pretty sure I’d gotten.  They said they’d call on the Friday after my second interview…and I didn’t hear back for two weeks.  UGH.

    When is the last time you spoke to your manager about it?

    @Brooke1226:  I did get the job!  =)

    I would wait till Tuesday morning.  Give him tomorrow to come to you.  If he doesn’t, email him or talk to him Tuesday at like…an hour after you’re at work, and say something like, “Hey, Dave, I was wondering if we could talk about the promotion today.  Could I come by your office at 1?”  Something like that.

    I would def speak with him about this, as you want to be proactive. However, make sure it’s a good time for him to speak. Ask him, “When would be a good time for you to talk?” and schedule a time that is convenienty for him. And then just say,
    “Im so interested in this opportunity and I want you to know that”

    @Brooke1226:  It’s okay – there’s nothing wrong with being proactive. You just need to make sure you don’t come off as pushy or unprofessional. Go into his office, first thing and just be direct “Good morning X. I know we spoke last week about setting up a time to discuss the promotion. Do you have time this afternoon to chat?”
