I got my dress at JCPenney. Although it’s white, it’s definitely not a traditional wedding dress.

@ccantics:

Hi there, I bought this dress. It is technically not a wedding dress. This was the only site that carried the dress that called it that.

I fell in love with it. I was set on wearing it for my wedding, but instead still have it in my closet for another occasion. I got a long dress in the end, but part of me still wishes I wore this:

@Miss Wellies:

I like this. It gives off a youthful, vintage, flower child vibe. I am imagining sunflowers and tall grass for some reason.

This is mine. It’s a prom/party dress from Quiz clothing. They get these in every year (or variations) in a few colours and they always fly out of the shop really quickly. Didn’t cost all that much. When I saw it on the mannequin or any of the pics online it always looked a little shorter than I was comfortable wearing, but then when I tried it on I was overjoyed to be reminded that I’m a shorty so it’s knee length on me.  Laughing

@Bunny_the_Bride:  Thanks. I wasn’t planning on having a dress since we’re keeping it low key, but i saw it and thought, “A little dress won’t hurt” haha.

My SIL and a coworker both bought bridesmaid dresses and ordered it in white/ivory. Beautiful dresses, low key and easier on the budget as well.

Mine!

It’s from a company called Trashy Diva, I ordered it online without trying it on (gasp) directly from their website.

They also have a wiggle version that I love (but would totally trip in hahaha)!

@MelissaMajoria:

I understand. Are you going to go to the court house? If we went to our court house it would have only cost us $3 to get married! If my then-fiance knew that, he would have insisted on doing it! But we went for a wedding chapel and kept it somewhat low-cost anyway.

@Bunny_the_Bride:

I’m in the UK, so it’s the local registry office we’ll be going to. Neither of us are church-goers, and we get the cheaper rate because our preferred date (our anniversary) falls on a Thursday.

$3? Really? Wow!

@CakeyP:

Simply delightful. I’m in love with that neckline. Laughing

@ccantics:  I did a lot of search for evening and formal dress on Nordstroms.  I did not go with one in the end though they are lovely.

Adrianna Papell and Su Wong and Jenny Woo make nice dresses

Look how fun this convertible dress is! http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/jenny-yoo-annabelle-convertible-tulle-column-dress/3683614?origin=category&BaseUrl=Formal

If you sign up for Ideeli there are usually some Su Wong dresses for cheap.

Prom dresses would work too.
