I am English gal, new to the neighbourhood and really haven't a clue on how you americans do things!!
Of course I have my future In'Laws for help but it would be great to hear from fellow brides-to-be who are up to date with all the wedding fashions. I would also be greatful of some local help-I am looking for a reception hall with a difference. No cheesy fake Italian Catering Halls (i'm european we have the real deal over here!!), or overpriced mansions. We are on a budget. I would like a nice clean space to fill with 'Bee' style projects!
We are in the Nassau county area, any other vendor recommendations would be a truely appreciated.
Well really, you can do whatever you want. I'm in the opposite lane as you - American marrying an English boy :-)
Don't feel that because you're here, or getting married here that you need to conform to anything American's do - be yourself, that will make your day wonderful!
You should check out some bride's blogs! Many brides are now posting their every move online. Mine is www.calioc.blogspot.com, and I recommend http://www.4thelackofmoney.blogspot.com/ . There are many more out there, and many of the ladies posting on wedding bee have their own blogs!
Hi EnglishMuffin! We checked out the Metropolitan and the de Seversky center. Both were too small for our guest list but you might want to check them out.
